umm, thanks for the notice, i was wrong:

the situation what triggers the 'no such file' problem is:
---- $ touch foo/Makefile $ mkdir bar $ ln -s foo/Makefile bar $ cd bar $ cat Makefile cat: Makefile: No such file or directory ----
