In this series that never happens.
In general, either
test_expect_success \ 'series A: foo bar baz' ' ... commands ... '
or
test_expect_success \ 'series A: foo bar baz' ' ... commands ... '
looks fine to me for those cases where no shorter test description comes quickly to mind.
