Why?
I'd suggest you just type "git diff" (if you diff two trees) or "git show" (if you want to see just one commit) instead.
There is _no_ reason to use diff-tree, it's purely a historical command due to how the implementation was done (ie diffing two trees is a very different operation from diffing against the index when looked at from an implementation standpoint).
