No, it is not OK. Linux is A kernel, not a system which has a kernel, like FreeBSD is. So, although this is VERY BAD common practice in Brazillian Portuguese, it's very disapproved of. There is no grammar problem in saying "kernel Linux" and people should get used to it if they are too used to any other WRONG expression.
