Thanks for confirming it. The memory usage, indeed, is almost the same after the changes. Nevertheless, Peff suggested a better approach to addressing this issue, by realizing earlier that we should even consider loosening the objects from the pack.

I'll try to work with that approach and see how this apply to memory usage.
