I certainly think it's going to happen; it's just not surprising that it hasn't happened yet. Once there's a stable release and some publicity, I'd expect SF to see it as worthwhile. But a hosting site with git-only shell access needs to know what the necessary programs are going to be, which we haven't committed to quite yet.
