I just realized that this breaks other tests: t1092-sparse-checkout-compatibility.sh not ok 17 - diff with renames and conflicts t1092-sparse-checkout-compatibility.sh not ok 18 - diff with directory/file conflicts

However, comments are welcome: Is it a good idea to create file called "filename.untracked" ?
