that doesn't seem to change the path :(
which git => /usr/bin/git
version still points to the old one  :(
This is my current path that I changed, as you told me to do... 
/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/X11/bin:/usr/local/git/bin
