Easy, depending on how old your repository either edit .git/branches/origin or .git/remotes/origin. They contain the current default, just change it to the new one. E.g. my .git/remotes/origin for Linux-2.6 repository is:

URL: git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux-2.6.git
Pull: master:origin
