Actually trying that command:

% git fetch origin 'refs/tags/*:refs/tags/*' 'refs/heads/*:refs/heads/*' fatal: Refusing to fetch into current branch refs/heads/fc/fast-export/cleanup of non-bare repository fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly
