Hello,
The man page for git commit-tree shows weird text under the DIAGNOSTICS section:
    You don't exist. Go away!
The passwd(5) gecos field couldn't be read
Your parents must have hated you!
The passwd(5) gecos field is longer than a giant static buffer.
    Your sysadmin must hate you!
The passwd(5) name field is longer than a giant static buffer.
I noticed that the same happens for Documentation/git-var.txt
Is this normal or?

Read the whole thread, see it on lore, or plain text.

$ cat FOOTERMessages come from the public archive at lore.kernel.org/git, fetched every hour. The front page is chosen and written each morning by an AI editor and can be wrong; the threads themselves are the record. About and API. For agents: an MCP server at https://gitlist.dev/mcp, and any thread, story or person page as Markdown by adding .md to its URL (or sending Accept: text/markdown). Details in /llms.txt.
