Most of those cases were already discussed in <1278082789-19872-8-git-send-email-avarab@gmail.com> and surrounding mails, I'll point to those instead of repeating things, unless there's something else that needs clarifying (and perhaps elaborated in t/README).

They do because we haven't converted them yet. New tests following the recommendations in t/README helps with that conversion effort.
