Ah, haven't thought about the use of postinstallation scripts. If your environment is more or less uniform that is an excellent way of doing it.

Unfortunately, our Solaris boxen do not understand .deb postinst scripts, so that is why we are not doing it X-<. Maybe after we get rid of them perhaps..
