Here are the topics that have been cooking in my tree. Commits prefixed with '+' are in 'next' (being in 'next' is a sign that a topic is stable enough to be used and are candidate to be in a future release). Commits prefixed with '-' are only in 'seen', and aren't considered "accepted" at all and may be annotated with an URL to a message that raises issues but they are no means exhaustive. A topic without enough support may be discarded after a long period of no activity (of course they can be resubmit when new interests arise).

Copies of the source code to Git live in many repositories, and the following is a list of the ones I push into or their mirrors. Some repositories have only a subset of branches.

We will be rewinding the tip of 'next' soonish.
With maint, master, next, seen, todo:
	git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/git/git.git/
	git://repo.or.cz/alt-git.git/
	https://kernel.googlesource.com/pub/scm/git/git/
	https://github.com/git/git/
	https://gitlab.com/git-scm/git/
With all the integration branches and topics broken out:
	https://github.com/gitster/git/

Even though the preformatted documentation in HTML and man format are not sources, they are published in these repositories for convenience (replace "htmldocs" with "manpages" for the manual pages):

	git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/git/git-htmldocs.git/
	https://github.com/gitster/git-htmldocs.git/
Release tarballs are available at:

* jc/neuter-sideband-fixup (2026-03-05) 6 commits
 - sideband: drop 'default' configuration
 - sideband: offer to configure sanitizing on a per-URL basis
 - sideband: add options to allow more control sequences to be passed through
 - sideband: do allow ANSI color sequences by default
 - sideband: introduce an "escape hatch" to allow control characters
 - sideband: mask control characters
(this branch is used by jc/neuter-sideband-post-3.0.)
Try to resurrect and reboot a stalled "avoid sending risky escape
sequences taken from sideband to the terminal" topic by Dscho. The
plan is to keep it in 'next' long enough to see if anybody screams
with the "everything dropped except for ANSI color escape sequence"
 default.

I think this is responsible for test failures on Windows in jch/seen, but I'm stumped as to why. You might want to hold off until we figure it out.

From the output I doubt the code change is responsible, but failing tests in 'next' is annoying.

I think that this one is ready to go. There was a relatively small range-diff between v2 and v3 based on Peff's review of the earlier round.

That review[1] said that:
There were a couple minor issues brought up in review, like
out-dated comments and the u32_add interface. So I think we might
    need a v3 with a few touch-ups, but that's it.

, so I think with the latest round we should be OK to start merging this one down.

Thanks, Taylor
