Ok, so here's the output of git svn info: Path: . Dcommit, works, too. But git svn show-ignore >> .gitignore does not work. Also, can you try the following command with plain svn? svn pg -R svn:ignore https://www.iam.unibe.ch/scg/svn_repos Thanks. The command you asked me to run fails, it can't authenticate. That command was svn pg -R svn:ignore https://www.iam.unibe.ch/scg/svn_repos. Some old version in the repo may be corrupt and I didn't get the details.
