Hello:

I am having problem building the man pages for git v1.6.4.2. I am getting the follow stream of errors: (sorry for the long lines)

I have read through INSTALL and Documentation/README. I have tried to cover all dependencies, but I suspect that I'm missing something simple.

Note that 'git' itself compiles fine and I can build the HTML pages fine also. It seems to be the man pages that cause the problem.

Note that I am using openSUSE 11.1. I was able to build the man pages on my older openSUSE 11.0 machine, but not any longer.

I would appreciate any advice you are willing to share.
Thank you.

The following was an ancient experience of mine with a different distro but I am reasonably sure it would point you in the right direction.

Thank you! The link you sent suggested a reinstall of DocBook. I tried that and magically everything started to work fine.

I appreciate the help.
