Maybe > a "git-checkout -n" can be useful. Even though I can't imagine what for. Thought about that as well, to keep with clone, but giving "checkout" an option to not checkout seems somewhat odd. "git branch -s" for "not only create but Set current to it as well" maybe? Rene.
