I also quite often do\n\n  git clone p:\\public\\repos\\foo.git\n\nand\n\n  git clone p:/public/repos/foo.git\n\nwithout a hitch.\n\nSure, you need a set of Posix tools (sed, grep, cat, wc, sort, ...)\nincluding a Bourne shell that knows how to invoke other scripts by\nparsing the interpreter from the first line (#!/bin/sh). The symtom was (IIRC) that a simple\n\n   git init\n\nsaid that 'init' is not a git-command. I tried this from CMD, not rxvt.\n\nThere are meanwhile a number of improvements in the port that support\nrelocation (i.e. an arbitrary installation directory). Unfortunately, the last successful compile was some months\nago. Usually, CMD picks up new PATHs if they have been \nmodified via the Settings->System->Advanced (or whatsitcalled) tool.
