The info page does not talk about -j but '+' apparently\nis needed for jobserver.\n\n As a special feature, using the variable `MAKE' in the commands of a\n rule alters the effects of the `-t' (`--touch'), `-n' (`--just-print'),\n or `-q' (`--question') option. Using the `MAKE' variable has the same\n effect as using a `+' character at the beginning of the command line.\n *Note Instead of Executing the Commands: Instead of Execution. This\n special feature is only enabled if the `MAKE' variable appears directly\n in the command script: it does not apply if the `MAKE' variable is\n referenced through expansion of another variable. In the latter case\n you must use the `+' token to get these special effects.\n"},{"id":"38676","messageId":"20070405061947.GA5436@spearce.org","threadId":"7518","inReplyTo":"7vabxnwfb4.fsf@assigned-by-dhcp.cox.net","subject":"Re: [PATCH] Makefile: Add '+' to QUIET_SUBDIR0 to fix parallel make.","fromName":"Shawn O.
