Easily fixable?\n\nIt uses the same rename detection as git-diff, which computes a\nsimilarity score. For example, try this:\n\n  $ git init\n  $ head -n 1000 /usr/share/dict/words >foo\n  $ git-add foo; git-commit -m 'added file'\n  $ git-mv foo bar\n  $ git-status ;# shows rename because files are identical\n  $ echo changes >>bar; git-add bar\n  $ git-status ;# still shows rename because files are similar\n  $ echo rewrite >bar; git-add bar\n  $ git-status ;# now files are too dissimilar to find rename\n\nMy guess is that your changes, even though they seem small, or\npreventing the rename detection from working.  If you have a very small\nfile, even a few changes can make the files too dissimilar.\n\n-Peff\n"}]}
