Since the last release, 163 catalog entries need\nto be translated. Please open a pull request against the l10n coordinator\nrepository (URL below) before the update window closes on Sat, 26 Sep 2026.\n\n    https://github.com/git-l10n/git-po/\n\nThe workflow below is adapted from `po/README.md`.\n\n\n## The `po/git.pot` file is generated and not kept in the repository\n\nThe l10n coordinator no longer generates `po/git.pot` before each round, and\nthat file is not committed to the repository.\n\nYou can build it locally with:\n\n    make po/git.pot\n\nThis step is optional: when you refresh your `po/XX.po` file (see below),\n`po/git.pot` is generated automatically as part of the process.\n\n\n## Refresh `po/XX.po` before you translate\n\nBefore updating `po/XX.po`, pull the latest commits from the `master` branch\nof `git-l10n/git-po`, for example:\n\n    git pull --rebase git@github.com:git-l10n/git-po.git master\n\nThen refresh `po/XX.po` against the current sources with:\n\n    make po-update PO_FILE=po/XX.po\n\n\n## AI-assisted translation\n\nUsing AI coding tools together with `po/AGENTS.md`, l10n contributors can\ntranslate a freshly generated `po/XX.po` with a prompt such as:\n\n    Translate po/XX.po with reference to po/AGENTS.md\n\nPlease treat any AI-generated output as a draft. It should be reviewed and\napproved by someone who understands both the technical context and the target\nlanguage. The best outcomes combine AI-assisted speed with human judgment,\ncultural nuance, and community review.\n\n\n## Set up filter drivers for `po/XX.po` before you commit\n\nComments in `po/XX.po` may include source location lines like:\n\n    #: add-interactive.c:334\n\nThose locations help translators find context in the source, but they add\nnoise and consume a lot of repository space, so we strip them from `po/XX.po`\nbefore commits.\n\nContent filters are configured for `po/XX.po` files so that the clean filter\nremoves location comments (`#: ...` lines) from what Git commits. Inspect\nthe active filter with:\n\n    git check-attr filter po/XX.po\n\nConfigure whichever filter driver matches your setup for `po/XX.po`, or\nconfigure both:\n\n    git config --global filter.gettext-no-location.clean \\\n               \"msgcat --no-location -\"\n\n    git config --global filter.gettext-no-line-number.clean \\\n               \"msgcat --add-location=file -\"\n\nAfter you commit your `po/XX.po` changes, open a pull request against the\nl10n coordinator repository:\n\n    https://github.com/git-l10n/git-po/\n\n\n## Address feedback from the l10n CI on your pull request\n\nThe helper at https://github.com/git-l10n/git-po-helper helps the Git l10n\ncoordinator and contributors check Git l10n contribution conventions. It also\nruns in GitHub Actions as the l10n CI pipeline that validates each pull request\nto the `git-l10n/git-po` repository. Please address any issues it reports.\n\n\n**Reminder: the update window closes on Sat, 26 Sep 2026.**\n\n\n--\nJiang Xin\n"}]}
