We have 4 contributors contributing to Git this year[2].\nThey are as follows (in no particular order):\n\n  - K Jayatheerth\n\n    Project: Improve the new git repo command [3]\n    Mentors: Justin Tobler, Lucas Oshiro\n\n  - Pablo Sabater\n\n    Project: Complete and extend the remote-object-info command for\ngit cat-file [4]\n    Mentors: Karthik Nayak, Chandra Pratap\n\n  - Siddharth Shrimali\n\n    Project: Improve Disk Space Recovery for Partial Clones [5]\n    Mentors: Christian Couder, Siddharth Asthana\n\n  - Tian Yuchen\n\n    Project: Refactoring in order to reduce Git’s global state [6]\n    Mentors: Christian Couder, Ayush Chandekar\n\nLet us welcome them and wish them a good summer of contributing to Git\nvia GSoC!\n\nThank you to all the contributors who applied to Git this year! It was\na bit tough to choose from multiple potential contributors who all were good\nin their own respect. Hoping to see you around continuing your\ncontributions to the Git community in some way :-)\n\nAlso many thanks to all the mentors who were willing to spend their valuable\ntime mentoring the students this summer. Very much appreciated!
