(Steps to reproduce your issue)\n\n- Be in a git repo so check-ignore will succeed\n- Run git check-ignore -z <pathname>...\n\nWhat did you expect to happen? (Expected behavior)\n\nThe command should work, printing the ignored paths out of those given,\ndelimited by NUL characters.\n\nWhat happened instead?
