I\nunderstand now that 'fileX' and 'fileY' were intended as specific\nidentifiers in the examples rather than typographical errors. I have\nwithdrawn that patch.\n\nAs a more technical micro-project, I have refactored get_layout_bare()\nand get_layout_shallow() in builtin/repo.c to explicitly use the\npassed repo pointer instead of relying on global macros like\nis_bare_repository().\n\nThis change supports the long-term goal of reducing Git's dependency\non the the_repository global variable and making the git repo command\ncompatible with multi-repository environments.\n\nMy patch is available for review here:\n\nI have also uploaded my full project proposal, \"Enhancing the git repo\nCommand for Machine-Readable Metadata,\" to the GSoC portal.\n\nBest regards, Naorem Ngathoiba Singh\n"}]}
