I am particularly interested in potentially applying for Google Summer of Code 2026 and wanted to ask if the project intends to participate as a mentoring organization this year.\n\nWhile waiting for the official organization announcements in February, I would like to begin familiarizing myself with the codebase and submission process. I have already reviewed Documentation/MyFirstContribution.txt.\n\nAre there any specific \"micro-projects\" or small tasks currently recommended for newcomers to practice sending patches to the list? Additionally, if there is a specific mailing list or channel dedicated to GSoC discussions for Git, please let me know.\n\nThank you for your time and for maintaining such a vital tool.\n\nBest regards, Mohamed Bakr Abas Hamza\n\nhttps://github.com/mohmedbakr1911"}]}
