The details are as\nfollows:\n\n Date: August 28th\n Time: 9:00 - 13:00\n Location: RAI Amsterdam, Europaplein 24, 1078 GZ Amsterdam\n\nThis event is not intended to be a replacement for the upcoming Git\nMerge 2025 [2]. Rather, it is intended to be a smaller community event\nfor those who cannot travel to the Git Merge due to whatever reason, or\nthose who are interested in Git and already attend the Open Source\nSummit anyway.\n\nThe event will be structured so that we have a section of lightning\ntalks (probably two to three hours) followed by some time for people to\nconnect with one another (probably one or two hours).\n\nThe registration is not yet open, but as the date is approaching fast I\nwanted to give the community a heads up so that they can plan. It is\nexpected that sign up for this event starts next week. Tickets can be\neither bought as an add-on to your already existing Open Source Summit\nEurope ticket or standalone and will cost 10$. I will send an update as\nresponse to this announcement once tickets are available.\n\nIf you want to submit a talk, please send a short proposal to me. I will\nvet these proposals together with other involved parties. Deadline is\nJuly 28th. Furthermore, if you got any other input, please feel free to\nsend me an email, too.\n\nThanks!\n\nPatrick\n\n[1]: https://events.linuxfoundation.org/open-source-summit-europe/\n[2]: https://git-merge.com/\n"},{"id":"522078","messageId":"CAGedMtdRenBejPanZ4JJem_35EUX6v9v3=p4v4obKQC=DDMw9Q@mail.gmail.com","threadId":"63754","inReplyTo":"aGwHt9HCd86hVuKh@pks.im","subject":"Re: [ANNOUNCE] Git Mini Summit at Open Source Summit Europe, Amsterdam, August 28th","fromName":"Seyi Kuforiji","fromEmail":"kuforiji98@gmail.com","sentAt":"2025-07-16T09:06:46Z","receivedAt":"2025-07-16T09:07:06Z","isPatch":false,"sender":{"key":"kuforiji98@gmail.com","avatar":"https://avatars.githubusercontent.com/u/94905626?v=4"},"body":"On Mon, 7 Jul 2025 at 18:45, Patrick Steinhardt <ps@pks.im> wrote:\n>\n> Hi,\n>\n> I am happy to announce that there will be a Git Mini Summit co-located\n> with the Open Source Summit Europe in Amsterdam [1]. Meanwhile I'll connect\nwith the Linux Foundation next week to figure out whether we can provide\nthe infra to allow for remote talks.\n\nThanks for your interest!\n\nPatrick\n"},{"id":"522652","messageId":"aIIOHVROv0MwHdv9@pks.im","threadId":"63754","inReplyTo":"aGwHt9HCd86hVuKh@pks.im","subject":"Re: [ANNOUNCE] Git Mini Summit at Open Source Summit Europe, Amsterdam, August 28th","fromName":"Patrick Steinhardt","fromEmail":"ps@pks.im","sentAt":"2025-07-24T10:42:37Z","receivedAt":"2025-07-24T10:42:48Z","isPatch":false,"sender":{"key":"ps@pks.im","avatar":"https://avatars.githubusercontent.com/u/4056630?v=4"},"body":"Hi,\n\nOn Mon, Jul 07, 2025 at 07:45:27PM +0200, Patrick Steinhardt wrote:\n> Hi,\n> \n> I am happy to announce that there will be a Git Mini Summit co-located\n> with the Open Source Summit Europe in Amsterdam [1].
