Here are the details for\nthe main conference:\n\n   When: September 29th and 30th\n  Where: GitHub HQ, 88 Colin P Kelly Jr. St., San Francisco, CA 94107\n   What: Main conference on the 29th, breakouts and Contributor's Summit\n         on the 30th.\n\nThe conference will be structured similarly to Git Merge 2024 from\nBerlin. The main conference will be on the first day, and breakout\nsessions as well as the Contributor's Summit will take place on the\nsecond day. We'll have a cocktail hour at the conclusion of the first\nday.\n\nFor the Contributor's Summit, anybody who works on Git or related\nprojects in the Git ecosystem are invited. If you aren't sure if that\nincludes you or not, please ask!\n\nRegistration and the Call for Proposals (CFP) are both open, and the\nmain webpage below has all of the details:\n\n  https://git-merge.com\n\nThere are links to the CFP submission page as well as ticket\nregistration on the main website above, but direct links for each are\nbelow:\n\n  Tickets: https://git-merge-2025.eventbrite.com/\n      CFP: https://sessionize.com/git-merge-2025/\n\nFor GSoC / Outreachy students that would like to come but may need\nfinancial assistance with travel costs, please reach out to the Git PLC\nat <git@sfconservancy.org>. We'll collect requests and try to make\ndecisions and notify people by mid-July, which would hopefully still\nleave time for making travel arrangements.\n\nOther than that, please be thinking about (and feel free to discuss in\nthis thread) topics you'd like to discuss, or any general thoughts on\nthe format, venue setup, etc.\n\nSee you there!\n\nThanks,\nTaylor\n"},{"id":"515040","messageId":"Z-Mmlr6kzozqZpkk@tapette.crustytoothpaste.net","threadId":"63192","inReplyTo":"Z+L3Mt58n18KUNzs@nand.local","subject":"Re: [ANNOUNCE] Git Merge 2025, September 29-30, San Francisco, CA","fromName":"brian m. carlson","fromEmail":"sandals@crustytoothpaste.net","sentAt":"2025-03-25T21:56:38Z","receivedAt":"2025-03-25T21:56:41Z","isPatch":false,"sender":{"key":"sandals@crustytoothpaste.net","avatar":"https://avatars.githubusercontent.com/u/497054?v=4"},"body":"On 2025-03-25 at 18:34:26, Taylor Blau wrote:\n> Git Merge 2025 is happening on September 29-30th in San Francisco, CA!\n> The Contributor's Summit will be on the 30th. If you are\n    interested in speaking, but weren't planning on doing so due to\n    travel constraints, please consider submitting a talk proposal to\n    present virtually!\n\n  - The **Contributor's Summit will continue to take place on the second\n    day** (September 30th), and will have two-way A/V equipment set up\n    so remote attendees can participate.\n\nA few more logistics:\n\n  - Tickets to attend remotely are $0. If you have already purchased an\n    in-person ticket and wish to refund it to attend virtually, just let\n    me know.\n\n  - Likewise, if you have submitted a talk proposal but wish to give it\n    virtually instead, please let me know there as well.\n\nIf you are travelling in-person need financial assistance to do so,\nnotes that we will **stop accepting requests for financial assistance on\nMay 15, 2025 end of day PDT**. This is so that those who have open\nrequests can get a decision sooner rather than later in order to start\nthe visa application process. If you are planning on requesting\nfinancial assistance, and haven't yet done so, please consider doing so\nASAP.\n\nI am sad to not be able to see everyone in person, but my hope is that\nby offering options to attend and participate remotely, that Git Merge\nwill be more accessible to those not comfortable traveling into the US\nthan previously.\n\nIf you have any concerns or questions that you wish to handle privately,\nplease feel free to contact me off-list.\n\nSee you there (virtually or otherwise)!\n\nThanks,\nTaylor\n"}]}
