Therefore git finds gitweb/test/Märchen\nunchanged but also a gitweb/test/Märchen in the working directory\nusing a different byte sequence for the name as reported in status. It wont fix HFS+, but since HFS+ is designed to \naccept either UTF-8 normalization form and returning just NFD, nobody \nwill change/fix HFS+ anyway.\n\n\tWolfgang"},{"id":"31248","messageId":"Pine.LNX.4.63.0701091547340.22628@wbgn013.biozentrum.uni-wuerzburg.de","threadId":"6295","inReplyTo":"6EBAA8D1-9839-4B77-968A-2828B19A9BF7@wf227.com","subject":"Re: Bug in git-status with non-ascii characters:","fromName":"Johannes Schindelin","fromEmail":"johannes.schindelin@gmx.de","sentAt":"2007-01-09T14:48:22Z","receivedAt":"2007-01-09T14:48:22Z","isPatch":false,"sender":{"key":"johannes.schindelin@gmx.de","avatar":"https://avatars.githubusercontent.com/u/127790?v=4"},"body":"Hi,\n\nOn Tue, 9 Jan 2007, Wolfgang Fischer wrote:\n\n> Since this problem is discussed every other week, how about changing the \n> name of the test file to scheußlicher_Dateiname or so, since the \n> sz-ligature does not have the problem of different UTF-8 normalization \n> forms.\n\nGood idea!
