Just to fix known issues in v2.31 and\nbackport some clean-ups already made for the next feature release.\n\nThe tarballs are found at:\n\n    https://www.kernel.org/pub/software/scm/git/\n\nThe following public repositories all have a copy of the 'v2.31.1'\ntag and the 'maint' branch that the tag points at:\n\n  url = https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/git/git\n  url = https://kernel.googlesource.com/pub/scm/git/git\n  url = git://repo.or.cz/alt-git.git\n  url = https://github.com/gitster/git\n\n----------------------------------------------------------------\n\nGit 2.31.1 Release Notes\n========================\n\nFixes since v2.31\n-----------------\n\n * The fsmonitor interface read from its input without making sure\n   there is something to read from.  This bug is new in 2.31\n   timeframe.\n\n * The data structure used by fsmonitor interface was not properly\n   duplicated during an in-core merge, leading to use-after-free etc.\n\n * \"git bisect\" reimplemented more in C during 2.30 timeframe did not\n   take an annotated tag as a good/bad endpoint well.  This regression\n   has been corrected.\n\n * Fix macros that can silently inject unintended null-statements.\n\n * CALLOC_ARRAY() macro replaces many uses of xcalloc().\n\n * Update insn in Makefile comments to run fuzz-all target.\n\n * Fix a corner case bug in \"git mv\" on case insensitive systems,\n   which was introduced in 2.29 timeframe.\n\nAlso contains various documentation updates and code clean-ups.\n\n----------------------------------------------------------------\n\nChanges since v2.31.0 are as follows:\n\nAndrzej Hunt (2):\n      Makefile: update 'make fuzz-all' docs to reflect modern clang\n      fsmonitor: avoid global-buffer-overflow READ when checking trivial response\n\nJeff King (1):\n      bisect: peel annotated tags to commits\n\nJohannes Schindelin (2):\n      fsmonitor: fix memory corruption in some corner cases\n      fsmonitor: do not forget to release the token in `discard_index()`\n\nJonathan Tan (1):\n      t5606: run clone branch name test with protocol v2\n\nJunio C Hamano (3):\n      xcalloc: use CALLOC_ARRAY() when applicable\n      cocci: allow xcalloc(1, size)\n      Git 2.31.1\n\nKyle Meyer (1):\n      config.txt: add missing period\n\nRené Scharfe (6):\n      fix xcalloc() argument order\n      git-compat-util.h: drop trailing semicolon from macro definition\n      use CALLOC_ARRAY\n      vcs-svn: remove header files as well\n      block-sha1: drop trailing semicolon from macro definition\n      mem-pool: drop trailing semicolon from macro definition\n\nTorsten Bögershausen (1):\n      git mv foo FOO ; git mv foo bar gave an assert\n\n"}]}
