need to install the development package of some packages,\nwhich come with header files (and not only the libs).\n\nBeing a lazy person, I collected all possible package names in a setupscript,\nlooking similar to this:\n  APTGET=\"sudo apt-get install\"\n type curl-config || $APTGET libcurl4-openssl-dev || $APTGET libcurl-devel\n test -r /usr/include/expat.h || $APTGET libexpat1-dev || $APTGET expat-devel || $APTGET libexpat-devel\n test -r /usr/include/ssl.h || test -r /usr/include/openssl/ssl.h || $APTGET openssl-devel || $APTGET  libssl-dev\n test -r /usr/include/zlib.h || $APTGET zlib1g-dev\n type msgfmt || $APTGET gettext\n\nIn other words,\nsudo apt-get install libcurl-devel\ncould help.\nAnd you probably need to install more dev/devel packages, unfortunatly different Linux distros\nuse different names for (from a user point of view) the same thing.\nSo I can't tell you out of my head, what Ubuntu needs, but there is hopefully a start point.\n\n[snip]\n"},{"id":"417447","messageId":"20210220190728.GA3590451@szeder.dev","threadId":"55179","inReplyTo":"CAB=huCZLwkBv-Fd4iUqbDwNuNfeFBfjPfKRzYUGShc727KJJzg@mail.gmail.com","subject":"Re: only a couple of libraries but\nalso the related '-dev' package containing includes and static\nlibraries.\n\nIn our CI jobs using Ubuntu we install the following packages by\ndefault (see
