Don't feel bad about the lack of code. In my professional experience\n I've seen situations where a developer spent one month working on a\n problem, and the solution is *one line* of code. It's not the amount\n of code that matters; it's the amount of effort that was put into\n it, and in fact; once you have a solution that works, putting more\n work can make it cleaner (less code), which is appreciated.\n\n 2. There is a concept called \"the curse of knowledge\" [1] that everybody\n who is an expert in an area suffers. Certainly many old-timers in\n Git development do.\n\n That's why newcomers are always appreciated; fresh eyes usually spot\n issues many of us don't. You have a unique vantage point, so it's\n good that you document your struggles; they may give us an insight\n that otherwise we would be blind of.\n\n 3. Once you have some code you would like to bounce off on Git\n developers, you might want to try git-related [2] (that's my tool\n but there are others). For example, I just did this:\n\n git related master..mergetool\n\n To find people to CC regarding the branch I'm currently working on\n (they have worked on the lines of code I'm changing).\n\nThat's it, I hope you find that useful.\n\nCheers.\n\n[1] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curse_of_knowledge\n[2] https://github.com/felipec/git-related\n\n-- \nFelipe Contreras\n"},{"id":"413830","messageId":"CAHjREB6fSxYesq03xj2jEN+e7sP-fTpnE1XHMABxqt6B6mzSBA@mail.gmail.com","threadId":"54748","inReplyTo":"5fdc958199da4_104e15208fe@natae.notmuch","subject":"Re: [Outreachy] Blog Post Submission","fromName":"Sangeeta","fromEmail":"sangunb09@gmail.com","sentAt":"2021-01-08T16:54:42Z","receivedAt":"2021-01-08T16:55:35Z","isPatch":false,"sender":{"key":"sangunb09@gmail.com","avatar":"https://avatars.githubusercontent.com/u/64827599?v=4"},"body":"Hey everyone,\n\nThanks for the much-needed motivation Felipe and also thanks for the\ntool.
