The lack of semantic markup in asciidoc (e.g., being able\nto mark a command-line parameter as such, rather than just a literal) is\nsometimes a pain, but I think that's also what makes the source\ndocuments so readable and generally non-painful to write.\n\nAs far as choosing a representative from the project, I'd probably\nnominate you. ;)\n\n-Peff\n"},{"id":"391748","messageId":"nycvar.QRO.7.76.6.2002141306350.46@tvgsbejvaqbjf.bet","threadId":"52784","inReplyTo":"20200214062335.GB605125@coredump.intra.peff.net","subject":"Re: Git representative on AsciiDoc Working Group","fromName":"Johannes Schindelin","fromEmail":"johannes.schindelin@gmx.de","sentAt":"2020-02-14T12:07:00Z","receivedAt":"2020-02-14T12:07:15Z","isPatch":false,"sender":{"key":"johannes.schindelin@gmx.de","avatar":"https://avatars.githubusercontent.com/u/127790?v=4"},"body":"Hi,\n\nOn Fri, 14 Feb 2020, Jeff King wrote:\n\n> On Wed, Feb 12, 2020 at 12:21:29AM +0000, brian m. carlson wrote:\n>\n> > I've had folks from OpenDevise reach out to me and let me know that they're\n> > launching a standardization initiative for AsciiDoc under the Eclipe\n> > Foundation's open standardization process. The main\ninterest for me when representing the Git project would be a focus on\ncompatibility between implementations, which has historically been a\nminor pain point for us.  That, of course, is the whole point of\nstandardization.\n-- \nbrian m. carlson: Houston, Texas, US\nOpenPGP: https://keybase.io/bk2204\n"}]}
