The\nsubmodule is pretty deep down in the java path of a maven project - so 7\ndirectories down from the git root. It's a bloody pain to constantly change\ndirectories to get down there and back up to where I am working. If IntelliJ\nsupported submodules explicitly, I might not be whining about this, but I'm\nhaving to swap to the CLI.\n\nMy suggestion is that provision be made for the support of\n\ngit submodule commit [ --recursive ] [--] [<path>.]\n\nand\n\ngit submodule push [ --recursive ] [--] [<path>.]\n\nwith all the trappings that come with commit and push. I have a feeling this\nis a pretty big ask, as it will really pulling in a lot of other commands,\nincluding add.\n\nAm I barking up the wrong tree?\n\nThanks,\nRandall\n\n-- Brief whoami:\n NonStop developer since approximately 211288444200000000\n UNIX developer since approximately 421664400\n-- In my real life, I talk too much.\n\n\n\n"},{"id":"389912","messageId":"875zhbmbg3.fsf@igel.home","threadId":"52651","inReplyTo":"005801d5cc8e$7ae618e0$70b24aa0$@nexbridge.com","subject":"Re: [RFE]: git submodule commit push","fromName":"Andreas Schwab","fromEmail":"schwab@linux-m68k.org","sentAt":"2020-01-16T19:46:20Z","receivedAt":"2020-01-16T19:46:27Z","isPatch":false,"sender":{"key":"schwab@linux-m68k.org","avatar":"https://avatars.githubusercontent.com/u/2175493?v=4"},"body":"On Jan 16 2020, Randall S.
