All tests passed except as follows:\n\n[NEW] 1. t0500-progress-display - failed 7 out of 11. This appears to\nconsistently fail when run under Jenkins but consistently succeeds when run\nfrom a non-disconnected real terminal. The difference from a pipe handling\nstandpoint with Jenkins is that it provides a stdout opened using O_WRONLY\nrather than O_RDWR or other open() modes that might exist - we have seen\nproblems resulting from differences between process initiation under Jenkins\nand connected terminals in other products. This failure was not present in\n2.23.0.\n\n2. t9001-send-email - obvious failure because there is no working sendmail\non the platform. This is an expected failure, so no issue.\n\n3. t9020-remote-svn - there is no svn on platform, but the test detection\ndoes not deal with this. This is an expected failure, so again, no issue.\n\nIt would be nice to understand why t0500 is failing before we release the\nofficial build to our community.\n\nCheers,\nRandall\n\n-- Brief whoami:\nNonStop developer since approximately 211288444200000000\nUNIX developer since approximately 421664400\n-- In my real life, I talk too much.\n\n\n\n\n"},{"id":"384979","messageId":"20191028114850.GR4348@szeder.dev","threadId":"52128","inReplyTo":"021601d58c32$4f632a10$ee297e30$@rogers.com","subject":"Re: [ANNOUNCE] Git v2.24.0-rc1 - Test Summary for NonStop","fromName":"SZEDER Gábor","fromEmail":"szeder.dev@gmail.com","sentAt":"2019-10-28T11:48:50Z","receivedAt":"2019-10-28T11:48:56Z","isPatch":false,"sender":{"key":"szeder.dev@gmail.com","avatar":"https://avatars.githubusercontent.com/u/116324?v=4"},"body":"On Sat, Oct 26, 2019 at 03:19:37PM -0400, randall.s.becker@rogers.com wrote:\n> This is the test summary for the HPE NonStop TNS/E platform for git\n> 2.24.0-rc1. The output of the failed\ntests could also be quite useful.\n\nIt may or may not be conincidental, but there happens to be 7 tests\nin t0500 that use 'test-tool progress --total=<N>', which was affected\nby an endianness bug that got fixed in 2b6f6ea1bd (test-progress: fix\ntest failures on big-endian systems, 2019-10-20).
