WebDAV is an okay file transfer protocol,\nbut it's not very good for expressing rich file system semantics. Git\nexpects a file system that provides most of the POSIX guarantees, case\nsensitivity excepted, and I'm not sure that WebDAV can provide those.\n\nYou can try a couple of things which might help. You can set\ncore.trustctime to \"false\" and core.checkStat to \"minimal\", which may\nhelp with the inconsistent stat information. It's also possible that\nyour WebDAV server has a flaky network connection or is nonconformant,\nwhich happens sometimes, so you could try a different WebDAV server\nimplementation or a different server.\n\nIf none of these seem to work, then you'll probably have to come up with\na solution that doesn't involve using repositories or worktrees on a\nWebDAV mount.\n-- \nbrian m. carlson: Houston, Texas, US\nOpenPGP: https://keybase.io/bk2204\n"},{"id":"385355","messageId":"fb194341-f7b6-d036-95f1-441c0cb59ed0@gmx.de","threadId":"52125","inReplyTo":"20191027175850.b6le5r3jf3cxtnah@camp.crustytoothpaste.net","subject":"Windows Git Status doesn't see files on WebDav, everything else do","fromName":"Ingo Wolf","fromEmail":"ingo.wolf@gmx.de","sentAt":"2019-11-03T20:37:40Z","receivedAt":"2019-11-03T20:37:56Z","isPatch":false,"sender":{"key":"ingo.wolf@gmx.de","avatar":null},"body":"Hi,\n\nAre there any more ideas what git configs I can try to make\n\nGit Windows Status see the files in a WebDav workdir (and not as deleted)\n\nlike any other program, even git commit commits them and\ncheckout doesn't checkout prompting already there.\n\nSettings recommended by brian haven't helped yet.\n\nAm 27.10.2019 um 18:58 wrote brian m. carlson:\n> On 2019-10-26 at 03:07:39, Ingo Wolf wrote:\n>> Hi,\n>> Git Windows somehow does not work with a Webdav Workdir even wenn\n>> connected to a Drive-Letter.\n>>\n>> brian: Knowing how WebDAV works under the hood, I'm not entirely surprised that\n>> you're having this problem.
