Its author just didn't\nanticipate this bug. :)\n\n> The bug seems to exist in docbook-xml - I've reported it on May 1 via\n> the docbook-apps mail list - but for now it may make more sense to just\n> work around the issue.\n\nYeah. Specifically, the HTML generated directly from asciidoc doesn't\nhave this bug. Likewise, using asciidoctor has no impact (though in\ntheory if we eventually move to generating roff directly from\nasciidoctor, the problem might go away).\n\nI agree with you that it's worth working around in the meantime.\n\nThe patch itself looks good to me. A few observations:\n\n> A submodule is considered active,\n> \n> - a. if `submodule.<name>.active` is set to `true`\n> + 1. if `submodule.<name>.active` is set to `true`\n\nI'd sometimes use letters when there is already a nearby list using\nnumbers (and I need to be able to refer to either list distinctly). But\nI checked the surrounding context and don't think that's the case here.\n\n> -Note that (c) is a historical artefact and will be ignored if the\n\nNot introduced by your patch, but it may be worth swapping this out for\n\"artifact\". The spelling with the \"e\" is apparently a British-ism (today\nI learned!), but I think we usually favor (favour!?) American spellings\nin our documentation.\n\nObviously not super important, and definitely should be addressed in a\nseparate patch (if at all).\n\n-Peff\n"},{"id":"375955","messageId":"20190520205404.GA32230@google.com","threadId":"51021","inReplyTo":"20190501210354.GC13372@sigill.intra.peff.net","subject":"Re: [PATCH] gitsubmodules: align html and nroff lists","fromName":"Jonathan Nieder","fromEmail":"jrnieder@gmail.com","sentAt":"2019-05-20T20:54:04Z","receivedAt":"2019-05-20T20:54:08Z","isPatch":true,"sender":{"key":"jrnieder@gmail.com","avatar":"https://avatars.githubusercontent.com/u/281595?v=4"},"body":"Jeff King wrote:\n\n> The patch itself looks good to me.\n\nFor what it's worth,\n\nReviewed-by: Jonathan Nieder <jrnieder@gmail.com>\n\nas well.
