Where may I find the info to do this?\n\nFor translation, you could start at po/README. That's mostly UI\ntranslation. I think some team actually started document translation\ntoo [1], but I don't know the status.\n\nFor creating/updating documents in English, I think our documents can\nuse some improvements. Just pick one document under Documentation\ndirectory, read it and see if you can understand it (if not we\nprobably need to rephrase or reorganize a bit, sometimes a lot). I'm\nnot so sure about creating new documents. That's usually done when a\nnew feature/command is added.\n\n[1] The ground work for that seems done in 3d5b568f1a\n(Documentation/Makefile add optional targets for l10n, 2019-01-07)\n\n--\nDuy\n"},{"id":"374786","messageId":"20190501203545.GA13372@sigill.intra.peff.net","threadId":"51016","inReplyTo":"CACsJy8DHH_PqZ9DQ5jpA_4AuLmVXmt3F3x6nYVGqZ1pNWnC5+Q@mail.gmail.com","subject":"Re: Contributing with documentation/translation","fromName":"Jeff King","fromEmail":"peff@peff.net","sentAt":"2019-05-01T20:35:45Z","receivedAt":"2019-05-01T20:35:48Z","isPatch":false,"sender":{"key":"peff@peff.net","avatar":"https://avatars.githubusercontent.com/u/45925?v=4"},"body":"On Wed, May 01, 2019 at 05:11:38PM +0700, Duy Nguyen wrote:\n\n> On Wed, May 1, 2019 at 1:10 AM Priscila Gutierres\n> <priscila.gutierres@gmail.com> wrote:\n> >\n> > Hi\n> > I want to contribute to git by creating and/or translating\n> > documentation. Depending on where you are on you way to learning about git, I would recommend:\n\n* Starting with Progit for a gentle introduction to using git\n* Translating git manpages for extensive knowledge of all git commands\n* Translating git itself for indepth knowledge of how git works\n\nThe translation teams are welcoming to new contributors.\n\n----\nJean-Noël\n\n\n\n"}]}
