MY idea of a\npleasing UI is: fast on a small, old laptop (where 24-bit\ncolor is unusably slow), using GIGANTIC fonts on a black\nbackground 8-)\n\nThe thread skeleton could probably use tables to make\nline-wrapping more readable when wrapped on small screens\n(w3m couldn't wrap <pre>, but dillo does)\n\nOtherwise, perhaps having a larger set of supported + stable CSS\nclass/id names to enable user-side customizations would be\npossible.\n\nFwiw, the $MESSAGE_ID/t.atom endpoint also supports Atom threading:\n\n\thttps://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc4685\n\nSo I imagine it would be easy for a UI expert to build on\ntop of that.\n\nThe current thread view also works nicely when my connection\ndrops, since all the articles get linked to anchors on the\nsame page.\n\n> > And there's a big fairness problem with the current\n> > implementation of bl^H^Ha \"new feature\" :>\n\nDid you notice the unique new feature?  It's not something I've\nseen anywhere else, and it might not be obvious regardless of\nbrowser you use.  The thing I'm referring to has a \"debug log\"\nat the bottom of the page :)\n\nSo I think my (limited) time would be better spent making sure\nperformance is top notch so others can build fast UIs on top of\nit; and there might be something else along those lines in the\npipeline...\n"}]}
