Git (and its dependents)\nwere configured with:\n\n  PKGCONFPATH: /usr/local/lib/pkgconfig\n       CPPFLAGS: -I/usr/local/include -DNDEBUG\n         CFLAGS: -g2 -O2 -march=native -fPIC\n       CXXFLAGS: -g2 -O2 -march=native -fPIC\n        LDFLAGS: -L/usr/local/lib -Wl,-rpath,/usr/local/lib\n         LDLIBS: -ldl -lpthread\n\nFor Git it results in a configure called with:\n\n    PERL=\"$SH_PERL\" \\\n    PKG_CONFIG_PATH=\"${BUILD_PKGCONFIG[*]}\" \\\n    CPPFLAGS=\"${BUILD_CPPFLAGS[*]}\" \\\n    CFLAGS=\"${BUILD_CFLAGS[*]}\" \\\n    CXXFLAGS=\"${BUILD_CXXFLAGS[*]}\" \\\n    LDFLAGS=\"${BUILD_LDFLAGS[*]}\" \\\n    LIBS=\"-lssl -lcrypto -lz ${BUILD_LIBS[*]}\" \\\n./configure --prefix=\"$BUILD_PREFIX\" --with-lib=\"$BUILD_LIBDIR\" \\\n    ...\n\nBUILD_PREFIX is /usr/local, and BUILD_LIBDIR=/usr/local/lib.\n\nLinking produces the following, which seems a bit unusual. It looks\nlike PREFIX and LIBDIR are being concatenated:\n\n    LINK t/helper/test-fake-ssh\n    LINK t/helper/test-line-buffer\n    LINK t/helper/test-svn-fe\nld: warning: directory not found for option '-L/usr/local//usr/local/lib'\nld: warning: directory not found for option '-L/usr/local//usr/local/lib'\nld: warning: directory not found for option '-L/usr/local//usr/local/lib'\nld: warning: directory not found for option '-L/usr/local//usr/local/lib'\n\nWhen I try to use --with-libdir=/usr/local/lib, I get:\n\n    configure: WARNING: unrecognized options: --with-libdir\n\nJeff\n"}]}
