My name is Ananya Krishna(her), I\nam from south India. I completed my under-graduation. Due to some\nproblems, I decided to stay back at home. And currently I would like\nto dedicate myself to learn from open communities.\n\nDuring the school, I showed keen interest in operating systems and\nimplemented most of the scheduling, synchronization and some sample\nexamples in memory management. I also did a lot of assignments in bash\nscripting. In my 3rd year of Btech, I was introduced to this magical\ntool `git` and got flattened by how it made me to keep track of\nversions of my assignments. Having done a lot of assignment in C and\nbash scripting and keen interest to learn about working of git\ninternals, I choose to contribute to this project. So I started\nobserving the patches sent to git mailing list.\n\nI am currently looking for first patch opportunities to git. I came\nacross[1] and I will try to put maximum effort towards my goal and if\nI need some clarification of the problem statement I guess you guys or\nOutreachy mentors will be here to help me.\n\nThanks,\nAnanya.\n\n\n [1](https://git.github.io/SoC-2018-Microprojects/)\n"},{"id":"359345","messageId":"CAP8UFD0XS3vsB1n_Jm=4TrdXqc8zU9+3LBU5CFn5TDYhYgf=2Q@mail.gmail.com","threadId":"49459","inReplyTo":"CA+=o6KHC=wkJCK9g4aVdaw6CieXr3qFJTb1GHa48=vQaOdRh6g@mail.gmail.com","subject":"Re: [Outreachy] Introduce myself","fromName":"Christian Couder","fromEmail":"christian.couder@gmail.com","sentAt":"2018-09-30T16:57:07Z","receivedAt":"2018-09-30T16:57:21Z","isPatch":false,"sender":{"key":"christian.couder@gmail.com","avatar":"https://avatars.githubusercontent.com/u/208954?v=4"},"body":"Hi Ananya,\n\nOn Sun, Sep 30, 2018 at 5:53 PM Ananya Krishna Maram\n<ananyakittu1997@gmail.com> wrote:\n>\n> Hi Git Community, Christian and Johannes,\n>\n> My initial Outreachy got accepted.\n\nGreat! I hope Dscho (Johannes) will be ok to submit one of the 2\nothers soon and to register himself as a mentor or co-mentor on some\nof the projects.\n\n> I am currently looking for first patch opportunities to git. Sorry we didn't update the page or create\nanother one. Anyway there are some micro-projects there like \"Add more\nbuiltin patterns for userdiff\" that are still valid and still good\nsmall tasks to get started working on Git. And there are explanations\nabout how you can search for micro-projects (especially how to search\nfor #leftoverbits on the mailing list archive).\n\nThank you for your interest in contributing to Git,\nChristian.\n"}]}
