Will queue with manual fix-ups, but since you asked, here\nare the things I'll be fixing up manually, which you may want to\navoid next time.\n\n (1) We strongly prefer to see contributor's identity recorded as\n the \"author\" of a commit to match the sign-off from the\n contributor. Your MSA sent your message with only the more\n casual version of your first name on the \"From: \" header, which\n does not match your sign-off. It would have been more correct\n if you added two lines at the beginning of the body of the\n message, i.e. before \"Since stash list accepts...\". The first\n line would be\n\n\tFrom: Steven Fernandez <steve@lonetwin.net>\n\n and then you would have a blank line immediately after that.\n Your \"Since stash list accepts...\" would become the third line\n of the body. That will tell the receiving end that the author\n identity of the resulting commit should not be \"Steve\" but\n should be \"Steven Fernandez\".\n\n (2) \"git shortlog --no-merges\" would show that we tend not to\n capitalize the first word after \"<area>:\" on the subject line.\n\n (3) Your patch is line-wrapped (see below that has with-stat on its\n own line after the line you intended it to go).\n\n (4) You somehow generated your patch with \"-p0\". It is OK to do\n whatever for your own use, but patch submission is \n communication with others, so don't be original by doing\n unusual things.\n\nNone of the above is something I cannot fix on the receiving end\nmyself, but at the same time, it is not something people should be\nwasting maintainer's time on, and small wastes add up.\n\n> contrib/completion/git-completion.bash | 3 +++\n> 1 file changed, 3 insertions(+)\n>\n> diff --git contrib/completion/git-completion.bash\n> contrib/completion/git-completion.bash\n> index d63d2dffd..06ec6ca11 100644\n> --- contrib/completion/git-completion.bash\n> +++ contrib/completion/git-completion.bash\n> @@ -2567,6 +2567,9 @@ _git_stash ()\n> \t\tdrop,--*)\n> \t\t\t__gitcomp \"--quiet\"\n> \t\t\t;;\n> +\t\tlist,--*)\n> +\t\t\t__gitcomp \"--name-status --oneline --patch-\n> with-stat\"\n> +\t\t\t;;\n> \t\tshow,--*|branch,--*)\n> \t\t\t;;\n> \t\tbranch,*)\n"},{"id":"360023","messageId":"4e046cd43ff5bfb907a68c5504efd7b2@lonetwin.net","threadId":"49442","inReplyTo":"xmqq36tiva0i.fsf@gitster-ct.c.googlers.com","subject":"Re: [PATCH] git-completion.bash: Add completion for stash list","fromName":"","fromEmail":"steve@lonetwin.net","sentAt":"2018-10-10T13:34:43Z","receivedAt":"2018-10-10T13:58:10Z","isPatch":true,"sender":{"key":"steve@lonetwin.net","avatar":"https://avatars.githubusercontent.com/u/101819?v=4"},"body":"On 2018-10-07 2:08 am, Junio C Hamano wrote:\n> Steve <steve@lonetwin.net> writes:\n> \n>> Since stash list accepts git-log options, add the following useful\n>> options that make sense in the context of the `git stash list` \n>> command:\n>> \n>> --name-status --oneline --patch-with-stat\n>> \n>> Signed-off-by: Steven Fernandez <steve@lonetwin.net>\n>> ---\n>> \n>> This is my first patch to the project so please be excuse any process\n>> errors.\n>> Although, I've tried my best to follow the guidelines in\n>> Documentation/SubmittingPatches but I'm not sure if I missed anything.\n> \n> Thanks.
