Day","fromEmail":"rpjday@crashcourse.ca","sentAt":"2017-11-14T14:59:43Z","receivedAt":"2017-11-14T15:00:24Z","isPatch":false,"sender":{"key":"rpjday@crashcourse.ca","avatar":"https://avatars.githubusercontent.com/u/226084077?v=4"},"body":"\n  while writing up a cheat sheet with a visual layout of .git for my\nstudents, i compared \"git help repository-layout\" to my git clone of\nthe kernel source tree, and noted the following things are not\nmentioned in the repo layout help page -- i have no idea how complete\nthat page is supposed to be so it's entirely possible that these\nomissions are deliberate:\n\n  - ORIG_HEAD\n  - FETCH_HEAD\n  - description\n  - gitk.cache\n  - refs/\n\tbisect\n\tstash\n  - logs/\n\tHEAD\n\trefs/\n\t\tstash\n\t\tremotes\n  - worktrees/<id>/\n\tcommondir\n\tHEAD\n\tindex\n\tlogs\n\tORIG_HEAD\n\n  as i said, i have no idea whether the entries above are deliberately\nomitted from the layout page, i just made a list of them.\n\nrday\n\n-- \n\n========================================================================\nRobert P.
