All it takes is one email (a journey of a\n> thousand \n> miles starts with the first step) [1]\n> \n\nThank yoou all very much! I'll present myself then, since the last\npresentations don't say a lot about myself hehe.\n\nWell you all know that I am a software development student here. The\ninstitute here teaches us things like web (java, php, javascript) and\nmobile development (java, swift). On the other hand I think that in\norder to be a good developer (like real hackers) someone needs to\nunderstand how the machine thinks and works, that's why I've been\nlearning OS concepts and low level languages like Assembly and C by\nmyself in order to really understand how a computer works. I love open\nsource given the fact that it helps you to discover how other amazing\ndevelopers think and work. I've been using Linux-based distros since a\ncouple of years, I could even create my own Linux From Scratch once a\ncouple of months ago, that was a great learning experience :D but I\nstay with Gentoo linux since I've found there a lot of great\ninformation and the ability to learn about source code and get the max\nperformance from my laptop.\n\nI don't like web and mobile development, but I do enjoy breaking mobile\nand web apps :D that's why I'm focusing right now on cybersecurity.\nRight now I'm and intern in a company called BroderJobs here in Lima,\nas security analist (actually I'm the whole TI dptmnt).\n\nHere in Peru, sadly, open source is like a taboo... noone uses it,\nneither companies nor educational institutions. That's why I'm founding\nthis community, in order to give students the ability to connect with\nopen source communities and work with great developers. Right now we\nare 4, but I believe that when the classes begin again ( on August 15th\nme and some other universities one week later) I'm going to be able to\ninvite them and see how this project growths :D\n \nThat's why right now I'm getting in touch with lots of communities to\nsee how can we contribute and this could help me to present the\ncommunity to universities and other institutions so that they can see\nthat we actually help big communities.\n\nThat's me :) nice to meet you all\nChristopher Díaz Riveros\n"},{"id":"325656","messageId":"1502042042.3232.131.camel@gmail.com","threadId":"46485","inReplyTo":"CAH5451kzm-gh-7MRYie8nt17+yZdFLgzyPF3ZAwmL74SrR0XvA@mail.gmail.com","subject":"Re: Contact with Latinamerica","fromName":"Christopher Díaz","fromEmail":"christopher.diaz.riv@gmail.com","sentAt":"2017-08-06T17:54:02Z","receivedAt":"2017-08-06T17:54:11Z","isPatch":false,"sender":{"key":"christopher.diaz.riv@gmail.com","avatar":"https://avatars.githubusercontent.com/u/14809105?v=4"},"body":"Hi all :) \n\nI just wanted to let you know how are we going :)\n\nWe can say now that we are international!
