But the flexibility would\nlet you do things like:\n\n  git log --oneline \\\n\t--branches 'feature/*' --decorate-refs \\\n\t--tags --decorate-refs \\\n\tHEAD\n\nwhich decorates feature branches and tags, but only traverses from HEAD\n(just as an example).\n\nAnyway, none of that exists yet, so patches welcome.\n\n-Peff\n"},{"id":"320810","messageId":"CACBZZX6Y6OTd5Dh8d1gKuMQBStgbbEW+kstK6kUFGfAzqWyoTQ@mail.gmail.com","threadId":"46037","inReplyTo":"CAHd499B+cyN=3XDqr7KgHSpyHLwi6bS=P_4beoS5fSkFhapAtw@mail.gmail.com","subject":"Re: Hide decorations in git log","fromName":"Ævar Arnfjörð Bjarmason","fromEmail":"avarab@gmail.com","sentAt":"2017-05-26T08:48:41Z","receivedAt":"2017-05-26T08:49:19Z","isPatch":false,"sender":{"key":"avarab@gmail.com","avatar":"https://avatars.githubusercontent.com/u/45301?v=4"},"body":"On Wed, May 24, 2017 at 4:22 PM, Robert Dailey <rcdailey.lists@gmail.com> wrote:\n> Is it possible to hide decorated refs in `git log` even if they are\n> reachable from the refs I'm actually interested in seeing the logs of?\n>\n> For example, if I do `git log --graph --decorate --oneline --branches\n> 'feature/*'`, I'd like to *only* see refnames that match the glob\n> pattern. The\nglob just matches the refs now, the decoration happens as an unrelated\nstep which doesn't care about the glob.\n"}]}
