If multiple files are provided (some of which aren't\nignored) -- git outputs only the ignored directory name:\n\n% git --version\ngit version 2.10.2\n% git status\nOn branch master\nUntracked files:\n  (use \"git add <file>...\" to include in what will be committed)\n\n\tbu\n\nnothing added to commit but untracked files present (use \"git add\" to track)\n% cat .gitignore\n*.me\n% git add blah.me/bu\nThe following paths are ignored by one of your .gitignore files:\nblah.me/bu\nUse -f if you really want to add them.\n% git add blah.me/bu bu\nThe following paths are ignored by one of your .gitignore files:\nblah.me\nUse -f if you really want to add them.\n% git status\nOn branch master\nChanges to be committed:\n  (use \"git reset HEAD <file>...\" to unstage)\n\n\tnew file:   bu\n\n\n\nSo note that in the first case it reports \"blah.me/bu\" whenever in the\nsecond -- only \"blah.me\".\n\nP.S.
