I'm trying to \nfigure out two things:\n\n1) Perl is creating man files in the wrong place. My system expects \nthem to be in /usr/local/share/man, but Perl is installing them in / \nusr/local/man. Currently I'm just moving them by hand every time I \npull-make-install, which is less than optimal.\n\n2) In a bit of what I'm sure is OS X strangeness, Perl is creating a / \nusr/local/System directory that contains one file: \"System/Library/ \nPerl/5.8.6/darwin-thread-multi-2level/perllocal.pod\". This doesn't \nseem to be useful, and I'm deleting it without anything exploding \n(noticeably) since I doubt anything is looking for a System directory \nthere. Is there a way to keep Perl from creating it in the first place?\n\nThanks for your time!\n"},{"id":"296602","messageId":"20061213131414.GQ2476@albany.tokkee.org","threadId":"43498","inReplyTo":"4F093D53-CFC7-44F1-9460-22DAD35DBAC8@silverinsanity.com","subject":"Re: More Perl fun: man and System directories","fromName":"Sebastian Harl","fromEmail":"sh@tokkee.org","sentAt":"2006-12-13T13:14:14Z","receivedAt":"2006-12-13T13:14:14Z","isPatch":false,"sender":{"key":"sh@tokkee.org","avatar":"https://gravatar.com/avatar/c19b9c37bd63e5d1dabe8d222904921fb807d53d1d8d41af758a16c066eeb59c?d=mp&s=160"},"body":"Hi,\n\nOn Wed, Dec 13, 2006 at 08:07:19AM -0500, Brian Gernhardt wrote:\n> 1) Perl is creating man files in the wrong place.
