With core.editor set to \nvim.\n\nVim was downloaded from vim.org latest version binary: VIM - Vi IMproved \n7.4.1023 (2013 Aug 10, compiled Jan 2 2016 14:24:35) MS-Windows 32-bit \nconsole version\n\nWhen I do a git commit in a cmd window, it goes into a vim right in the \ncommand window.\n\nBut the display is incorrect, please check the first image in this album \nhttp://imgur.com/a/VSfuj with title \"git2.9.0-vim7.4.1023-1\".\n\nNotice that\n\n1, the scroll bar on the right is way too long than it should be.\n2, after I pressed i to insert and inserted \"test\", notice how the four \nletters were kind positioned as a falling ladder. the behaviors of using \nhjkl keys to navigate the file is also incorrect.\n\nThe album also contains some other images with git versions spanning \n2.7.0, 2.8.0, 2.9.0. Just for your reference, there was an issue with \ntext color incorrect with versions 2.7 and 2.8. The display issue was \nprobably present in those earlier versions too but I am not 100% sure \nbecause of the black text on black screen issue. I want to focus on the \nbug with version 2.9.0.\n\nStarting vim up from the command line is totally fine. If I use \"git \nbash here\", vim behaves totally fine.\n\nThanks in advance for everyone who will look into this bug.\n\nJesse\n\nJesse Zhuang\nhttp://jessezhuang.github.io"}]}
