We now ask libCURL to\n   always use the most secure authentication method, because the user\n   can tell libCURL to use an HTTP proxy via an environment variable\n   without using configuration variables.\n\n * When you say \"!<ENTER>\" while running say \"git log\", you'd confuse\n   yourself in the resulting shell, that may look as if you took\n   control back to the original shell you spawned \"git log\" from but\n   that isn't what is happening.  To that new shell, we leaked\n   GIT_PAGER_IN_USE environment variable that was meant as a local\n   communication between the original \"Git\" and subprocesses that was\n   spawned by it after we launched the pager, which caused many\n   \"interesting\" things to happen, e.g. \"git diff | cat\" still paints\n   its output in color by default.\n\n   Stop leaking that environment variable to the pager's half of the\n   fork; we only need it on \"Git\" side when we spawn the pager.\n\n * Avoid possible ssize_t to int truncation.\n\n * \"git config\" failed to update the configuration file when the\n   underlying filesystem is incapable of renaming a file that is still\n   open.\n\n * A minor bugfix when pack bitmap is used with \"rev-list --count\".\n\n * An ancient test framework enhancement to allow color was not\n   entirely correct; this makes it work even when tput needs to read\n   from the ~/.terminfo under the user's real HOME directory.\n\n * Fix a small bug in our use of umask() return value.\n\n * \"git rebase\" did not exit with failure when format-patch it invoked\n   failed for whatever reason.\n\n * Disable \"have we lost a race with competing repack?\" check while\n   receiving a huge object transfer that runs index-pack.\n\nAlso contains typofixes, documentation updates and trivial code\nclean-ups.\n\n----------------------------------------------------------------\n\nChanges since v2.4.6 are as follows:\n\nClemens Buchacher (1):\n      rebase: return non-zero error code if format-patch fails\n\nEnrique Tobis (1):\n      http: always use any proxy auth method available\n\nJeff King (4):\n      index-pack: avoid excessive re-reading of pack directory\n      docs: clarify that --encoding can produce invalid sequences\n      rev-list: disable --use-bitmap-index when pruning commits\n      check_and_freshen_file: fix reversed success-check\n\nJunio C Hamano (3):\n      fsck: it is OK for a tag and a commit to lack the body\n      pager: do not leak \"GIT_PAGER_IN_USE\" to the pager\n      Git 2.4.7\n\nKarsten Blees (1):\n      config.c: fix writing config files on Windows network shares\n\nLawrence Siebert (1):\n      rev-list: add --count to usage guide\n\nMatthieu Moy (2):\n      Documentation/branch: document -d --force and -m --force\n      Documentation/branch: document -M and -D in terms of --force\n\nMichael Haggerty (1):\n      strbuf: strbuf_read_file() should return ssize_t\n\nRichard Hansen (2):\n      Revert \"test-lib.sh: do tests for color support after changing HOME\"\n      test-lib.sh: fix color support when tput needs ~/.terminfo\n\nTorsten Bögershausen (1):\n      git-checkout.txt: document \"git checkout <pathspec>\" better\n"}]}
