Last year we got no student, but in the past we got\ninteresting features merged in (e.g. \"git blame\" with textconv, hints in\n\"git status\", git-remote-mediawiki, better error messages).\n\nStudents are free to pick the feature they want, but I maintain a list\nof small project ideas on the wiki to help them:\n\n  https://git.wiki.kernel.org/index.php/SmallProjectsIdeas\n\nfeel free to edit and comment, add new ideas, ....
