It allows to clone, pull and push from/to mercurial remote\nrepositories, using git.\n\nCode on https://github.com/glandium/git-cinnabar\n\n[ Previous announcements:\n  http://marc.info/?l=git&m=142364715001983\n  http://marc.info/?l=git&m=141781485726430 ]\n\nWhat's new since 0.1.1?\n\n- git cinnabar git2hg and git cinnabar hg2git commands that allow to\n  translate (possibly abbreviated) git sha1s to mercurial sha1s and\n  vice-versa.\n- A \"native\" helper that makes some operations faster. It is not\n  required for git-cinnabar to work, but it can improve performance\n  significantly. Check the Setup instructions in the README file.\n- Do not store mercurial metadata when pushing to non-publishing\n  repositories.\n- Made the discovery phase of pushes require less round trips (the phase\n  that finds what is common between the local and remote repositories),\n  hopefully making pushing faster.\n- Improved logging, which now doesn’t require fiddling with the code to\n  get extra logging.\n- Made fsck validate more things, and act on more errors.\n- Fixed a few edge cases.\n- Better handle files with weird names, and that git quotes in its\n  output.\n- Extensively tested on the following repositories:\n    https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/\n    https://hg.mozilla.org/releases/mozilla-beta/\n    https://selenic.com/hg/\n    https://bitbucket.org/durin42/hg-git/\n    https://hg.python.org/cpython/\n\nWhat to expect next?\n\n- Allow to push merge commits.\n- Improve memory footprint for pushes (currently, it’s fairly\n  catastrophic on big repositories ; don’t try to push multiple hundreds\n  of commits of a Mozilla-sized repository if you don’t have multiple\n  gigabytes of memory available).\n- As mentioned above, allow to remove some metadata.\n- And more...\n\nIf you want to follow the improvements more closely, I encourage you to\nswitch to the `next` branch. I won’t push anything there that hasn’t\nbeen extensively tested on the above mentioned repositories.\n\nAnd as always, please report any issue you run into:\nhttps://github.com/glandium/git-cinnabar/issues/new\n\nMike\n"}]}
